History of the Hamburger Schule
The name “Hamburger Schule” originates
from training practice. Participants of the coach training courses
of Dr. Rolf Meier and Axel Janssen began even back in 2005 to question
the scientific-theoretic background of the training. At the same
time they highlighted the fact that the way the training took place
in Hamburg was different to what they had previously been used to.
They thus gave this particular type of training the name “Hamburger
Schule”.
As well as the participants of the training, clients of these coaches
also identified the Hamburger Schule as being symbolic for a “different” (autonomous)
coaching approach which they wanted to find out more about.
In April 2008, Dr. Rolf Meier and Axel Janssen decided to make the
explanation-systematic of the Hamburger Schule accessible to the
general public through an internet presence.
In June 2010, the web site was revised within the framework of the
launch of their book: “Coach Training – a Strategic Curriculum”.
